A premium ceramic coating deserves a premium installation process.

At Champagne Detailing, every vehicle goes through a carefully controlled process designed to maximize the appearance, performance and longevity of the coating.

The exact techniques and level of correction are adapted to each vehicle, but our philosophy remains the same:

No shortcuts. No rushed preparation. No one-size-fits-all approach.

01 — DI WATER PREPARATION

We begin with a controlled wash process using DI (deionized) water.

Removing minerals and impurities from the water helps minimize unwanted mineral deposits and water spotting during the preparation process.

Combined with professional washing techniques and controlled drying, this gives us a cleaner, more controlled foundation for everything that follows.

The goal isn't simply to wash the vehicle. It is to prepare the surface for professional paint correction and coating installation.

02 — PROFESSIONAL FOAM & CONTACT WASH

The vehicle is carefully pre-rinsed, foamed and washed using professional techniques designed to safely remove loose dirt and contamination while minimizing unnecessary contact with the paint.

We use professional equipment, including our Kränzle pressure washer, to provide controlled cleaning throughout the vehicle.

Every area matters — paint, trim, emblems, grilles, wheels, jambs and the difficult areas where contamination tends to accumulate.

We don't want a vehicle that is simply clean.

We want a vehicle that is properly prepared.

03 — CHEMICAL & MECHANICAL DECONTAMINATION

Even after a thorough wash, paint can still contain bonded contamination that cannot simply be rinsed away.

Iron deposits, road film, industrial fallout, tar and other contaminants can remain embedded or bonded to the surface.

We use the appropriate combination of chemical and mechanical decontamination to remove these contaminants while respecting the condition of the paint.

The result is a much cleaner and smoother surface that is ready for inspection and polishing.

You cannot properly correct paint that hasn't been properly prepared.

04 — PAINT INSPECTION & CONDITION ASSESSMENT

Now the real paintwork begins.

We carefully inspect the vehicle under appropriate lighting to identify defects such as:

• Swirl marks

• Washing scratches

• Random deeper scratches

• Water spotting

• Oxidation

• Holograms

• Etching

• Previous polishing marks

• Paint imperfections

• Areas requiring special attention

We evaluate the condition of the paint and determine the safest and most effective correction strategy.

Every vehicle tells us what it needs. We listen before we polish.

05 — TEST SPOT & CORRECTION STRATEGY

There is no universal polishing combination that works perfectly on every vehicle.

That is why we don't simply grab the same compound and pad for every car.

We determine the appropriate combination of machine, pad, compound, polish, speed, pressure and working technique for the specific paint system.

Where appropriate, we establish a test area before committing to the broader correction process.

This allows us to determine how the paint responds and establish the right balance between defect removal, finish quality and paint preservation.

06 — MULTI-STAGE RUPES PAINT CORRECTION

This is where our experience truly becomes visible.

We use professional RUPES rotary and dual-action polishing systems, along with a wide selection of professional compounds and pads.

Depending on the vehicle, correction may involve multiple stages.

A rotary polisher can provide exceptional cutting and correction capability, while dual-action systems allow us to refine and finish the surface with tremendous control.

The objective is not simply to remove as much paint as possible.

The objective is to achieve the highest-quality finish possible while preserving the integrity of the paint.

This requires experience.

Knowing how much correction is appropriate, which combination to use and when to stop is a critical part of professional paint correction.

07 — ULTRA-FINE REFINEMENT & GLOSS ENHANCEMENT

After correction, the paint is refined to maximize clarity, gloss and optical depth.

This stage is particularly important on dark colors and high-end finishes where even minor haze or micro-marring can affect the appearance.

We use finishing polishes and dedicated finishing pads as required to produce a clean, refined surface with crisp reflections.

The difference can be subtle under ordinary lighting.

Under proper lighting, it can be dramatic.

This is where a good finish becomes an exceptional finish.

08 — PRECISION DETAILING & PANEL PREPARATION

Before coating installation, every area of the vehicle must be carefully prepared.

Professional air tools and systems such as our Tornador help remove dust, debris and contamination from seams, emblems, grilles, crevices and other difficult-to-reach areas.

The paint is then carefully prepared so that polishing residue, oils and other substances do not interfere with coating adhesion.

Because when the coating is finally applied, there should be nothing between the coating and the properly prepared paint that doesn't belong there.

The coating should meet the paint — not the residue left behind by the process.

09 — PROFESSIONAL CERAMIC COATING INSTALLATION

Only after the surface has been thoroughly prepared do we begin coating installation.

We use professional-grade ceramic coating systems intended for certified professional installers.

These coatings require knowledge and precision.

Application technique, environmental conditions, coating behavior, flash time, panel temperature and product leveling all matter.

This isn't a matter of simply wiping a product onto the vehicle and walking away.

It is a controlled installation process.

10 — PRECISION FLASHING & LEVELING

Ceramic coating installation requires careful observation.

As the coating flashes, we monitor its behavior and carefully level and remove excess product at the appropriate moment.

Too early, and the coating may not have properly settled.

Too late, and leveling can become significantly more difficult.

The installer must understand the product, the environment and the surface.

Timing and technique matter.

This is one of the reasons professional ceramic coating installation requires experience.

11 — CONTROLLED CURING

Once installed and leveled, the coating needs appropriate time and conditions to cure.

We take the necessary precautions during this stage to allow the coating to properly settle and develop its intended properties.

The vehicle isn't considered finished simply because the coating has been applied.

Curing is part of the installation.

12 — FINAL QUALITY-CONTROL INSPECTION

Before the vehicle leaves Champagne Detailing, we conduct a thorough final inspection.

We examine the paint, coating, edges, difficult areas and overall finish under appropriate lighting.

We look for high spots, uneven leveling, residue, missed areas or anything that doesn't meet our standard.

Because the final inspection isn't about asking:

“Does it look good?”

It's about asking:

“Would we be satisfied if this were our own vehicle?”

If the answer isn't an absolute yes, we're not finished.
